FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. My Heater fan cycles on and off frequently or the tube is melting at the heater attachment.
Answer: The fan limit controls' fan off setting is too high.  It should be set at 5 degrees above room temperature.

2. The burner burns for 45 seconds and shuts down.
Answer: The Cad Cell may have dirt or soot on it and needs to be cleaned, or the Cad Cell may be defective.

3. The burner must be primed before startup every night, or the burner looses prime after an off period.
Answer: An air leak is present at the pump area of an overhead or elevated unit.  Air leaks could be in pipe fittings or filters.  The unit could be elevated too high above the fuel source, and may not be able to lift the fuel.  Please call for recommendations.

4. Oil is leaking from the bottom of the burner.
Answer: An oil leak may be present in the pump area from a loose line or a line on the interior of the burner.  Check the pump shaft seal for a bad seal.

5. How do I connect a return line to my tank?
Answer: Remove the plug from the return port, install an internal bypass plug, install a fitting for the return line and run the line back to the tank. Make the connections at the tank and return to service.

6. What do I do with the cardboard inside my new heater?
Answer: The cardboard is placed in the heater for shipping, it does not need to be removed - just burn it out.
