1. My Heater fan cycles on and off
frequently or the tube is melting at the heater attachment.
Answer: The fan limit controls' fan off setting is too
high. It should be set at 5 degrees above room
temperature.
2. The burner burns for 45 seconds and
shuts down.
Answer: The Cad Cell may have dirt or soot on it and
needs to be cleaned, or the Cad Cell may be defective.
3. The burner must be primed before
startup every night, or the burner looses prime after an off
period.
Answer: An air leak is present at the pump area of an
overhead or elevated unit. Air leaks could be in pipe
fittings or filters. The unit could be elevated too high
above the fuel source, and may not be able to lift the
fuel. Please call for recommendations.
4. Oil is leaking from the bottom of
the burner.
Answer: An oil leak may be present in the pump area
from a loose line or a line on the interior of the
burner. Check the pump shaft seal for a bad seal.
5. How do I connect a return line to my
tank?
Answer: Remove the plug from the return port, install an
internal bypass plug, install a fitting for the return line
and run the line back to the tank. Make the connections at the
tank and return to service.
6. What do I
do with the cardboard inside my new heater?
Answer: The cardboard is placed in the heater for
shipping, it does not need to be removed - just burn it out.
